Recreation and psychosocial support program promoted in alliance with the Venezuelan Camps Association (ASOVENCAMP) as part of our Construyo con Chamos response, designed to provide comprehensive support to children and families displaced by the earthquake. Through a scalable model implemented by recreational guides and psychology specialists in shelters, we transform waiting time into a safe space for containment, joy, and socio-emotional development while preparing for the return to classrooms. WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM INCLUDE?
- Four days a week, trained recreation leaders guide sessions of structured play, sports, art, and a special themed activity.
- Healthy snack shared between children and staff.
- A dedicated psychologist, independent of the recreation team, manages the entire psychosocial support component.
